Economy of a nation affetcs all sphere its citizen's life.Lets us take a look at India's Standing in the world.India, at 50th place, derives substantial advantagesnot only from its market size (ranked 4th for its domesticmarket size and 5th for its foreign market size) butalso from its strong business sophistication (ranked 27th)and innovation (ranked 32nd).The country is endowedwith strong business clusters and many local suppliers, and ranks an impressive 3rd for the availability of scientistsand engineers and 27th for the quality of itsresearch institutions. However, India’s overall competitive position isweakened by its macroeconomic instability (109th) withthe government running one of the highest deficits inthe world (ranked 127th), unsustainable levels of governmentdebt (ranked 113th), and fairly high inflation.Health and primary education is another area of concern, with poor health indicators (ranked 105th for bothinfant mortality and life expectancy), related to the highprevalence of diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria.Educational enrollment rates also remain low at all levels, with the primary educational system in particulargetting poor marks for quality. Certain labor marketefficiency indicators are also poor, including female participationin the labor force (ranked 122nd) and thefacility with which firms can hire and fire employees(ranked 104th).So despite excellent perfomance in arena of ,research, entrepreunership,Science India is lagging behind many african countries. The young generation of India must take cognizance of the innefficiency in administartion of public amenities and administrative apathy towrds people welfare. The ineffieciency of adminintration is major roadblock to frther development, moreover We have scaled new heights in science and technology but still our public administartion relies on the century old technology for administartion.Ill equipped office, malfunctioning police equipment and non computerization af major department of govt, will never let India Progress any further.India need technocrats who will be able to incorporate technology into the public administartion.Who can sreve the purpose better than Engineers
